OUR HISTORY

The history of South-West Zonal Fellowship could be traced back to the year 1976 when the former Western State was split into three states. In other to maintain the brotherhood among these three states, the elders came together and decided that instead of making it “to your tent on Israel” they found the ‘3’Os’; Oyo, Ondo and Ogun State Zonal Council and made the Former Western State Secretary, Mr.T. Ade Adara  the Zonal Organizer of thezone. The three states meet every year to present their progress reports, discuss their problems and tried to find solution to these problems.

Later, Osun and Ekiti States were calved out of Oyo and Ondo State respectively and they used the acronyms; “The EO’s or EO States”, Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti States. These five states continued with their relationship until the country was divided into six geo-political zones and Lagos and Kwara joined to make it seven states.

It  is to be noted that initially Kwara state was with the North Central zone but decided to go with the South-West to join their people.
